Surface Quality: The application surface must be dry and free from all kinds of dust, dirt, weak and loose particles, cement grout residues, oil and grease. The concrete substrate must be clean, sound and have sufficient compressive strength (at least 25 N/mm2) and tensile strength (pull-off) must be at least 1.5 N/mm2.
Surface Preparation: Masking tape is placed on both upper sides of the dilatation to ensure that the dilatation tape comes out smoothly and the epoxy does not spread around.
Mixing: After adding component B to component A, mix with a low speed electric mixer (max. 400 rpm) for 4-5 minutes until a homogeneous color is obtained.
Polymexbond Epoxy is applied on the right and left upper side of the dilatation at least 5 cm. Then it is adhered on the dilatation tape. It is seen that the epoxy comes out of the holes of the tape. The next day, a second coat is applied on the tape, slightly overflowing to the edges. It is recommended to make an inverted or straight omega (Q) in the middle of the dilatation so that the tape does not lose its elasticity immediately.
